This split puller tool is the exact diameter to clear the 2.125" bearing shoulder behind the bearing while centering the removal force on the inside bearing race or spacer shoulder. This is the only way to remove bearings without damage. We do recommend splitting or notching the bearing-retaining ring with a  cold chisel before pressing the bearing off. The tool has two parts. The base plate (P/N T-1998) is 10" square aluminum that has a 7" wide shoulder that aligns with your hydraulic press base. The round press plate locks in the base bore to prevent spreading.
