Eaton Posi Traction carrier for GM 8.2". 8.2" Eaton Posi-Traction Unit, 28 Spline with an 400 lb. clutch pre-load. This unit is for 3.08 and numerically higher ratios.

There are a number of excellent aftermarket posi-traction units which have proven to be exceptionally reliable in increased power street machines. These units provide increased traction prior to wheel spin. This is accomplished through the use of pre-loaded friction discs and, to some degree, the wedging action of the axle gear. This distributes torque to the wheel with superior traction rather than letting the wheel without traction to spin free. All Eaton™ units are equipped with carbon fiber clutches.
